QUEENSLAND: PART ONE

We arrived back to Melbourne from the Gold Coast at around 4.30pm yesterday. It was amazing. The trip home went a lot faster than the trip up, probably because there was a lot of sleeping involved (I slept a few hours whereas during the trip up, i slept for around half an hour, constantly waking up). The few extra hours sleep 99% of the bus had resulted in not only time going faster, but a few photos taken, courtesy of Taime and his sneaky photo taking skills. Here's a few of them...
Me.
Bianca.
Theo and Stacey.

Anyway, as soon as we arrived in Queensland, we headed straight too Wet n Wild. To my surprise, we weren't tired at all and had loads of fun in the water. The food however...lets just say that's another story.

Bianca, Cassie, Stacey, Stefani, Pardeep, Tori, Me, Maree.

Group Shots.

The following day involved surfing and kayaking. I didn't surf because it was cold and I had the worst chaffing from my boardshorts. Not cool haha. Kayaking was very enjoyable. Bianca and I were hopeless at it, ask anyone. The instructor had to help us 99% of the time and told us that he 'could have sworn we were blondes'.

Tommorrow will be Queensland part 2.
It's going to blow ya mind.
Oh and whilst I was in QLD, i purchased the new KOL album. What do you guys think of it? I honestly think it's heaps better than BOTT. I'm very pleased boys!

GOLD COAST HERE WE COME.

Tommorrow I, plus another 80-something students will be travelling to the Gold Coast until next Tuesday. Exciting! Not thrilled about the 24 hr bustrip but it'll be well worth it.

Please note: I will have little to no internet access. I will not be bringing my sidekick/hiptop either. I'll be using my dads old camera-less phone. I'll still have the same number!

Don't miss me too much!

QUEENSLAND!

Right now I'm listening to The Doors, thinking about Queensland. 6 more days until I am stuck in a bus for 24 hours with around 40 others.
I'm pretty excited, as it's going to be amazing (wow, what a perfect example of an understatment) and I already know it'll be full of memories.

This is the itinerary for the week:

September 17th:
Arrive at school by 9am and depart college via Narrendera, Dubbo and Goodiwindi to the Gold Coast.

September 18th:
  • Arrive at Gold Coast at around 10am.
  • Immediately head off to Wet N Wild until 5pm.
  • Check in at hotel.
  • Use facilities.

September 19th:

  • Surfing and kayaking with Paramount Adventures.
  • Team Building Activities (thrilling NOT).

September 20th:

  • Arrive at Sea World at 10am for an 'educational experience'.
  • Complete 'educational activities' at Sea World.
  • Laser Skirmish at night.

September 21st:

  • Arrive at Movie World at 10am.
  • Ten Pin Bowling at night.

September 22nd:

  • Shopping at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and relaxing at the beach.
  • Leave Gold Coast for overnight travel back to Melbourne.

September 23rd:

  • Back to Melbourne at 5pm.

I'm pretty excited. Shall be thrilling.

On a completely different topic, does anyone have any photos of hippies and mods from the 1960's? Also, I need photos of Vivienne Westwood's clothes/shoes/etc. Help would be much appreciated.

jubilant.

Despite the tickets selling out in minutes (or less), we managed to get some. Bring on December 11. However I'm not looking forward to the immature fangirls and the people who know one song. Annoying. I found this amusing yet predictable. Whenever concert tickets go on sale, I enjoy searching through Ebay from crazy prices. Needless to say, there are a few high ones!

I'm so thankful it's friday. I've never been so drained. I think I need more sleep....

your sex is on fire.

I'm sitting, 'watching' So You Think You Can Dance whilst listening to Kings of Leon . Bored nontheless. In a very 'blah' mood. To sum it up, it's a very dull, cold night.

20th September!

I'm pretty excited about this new record and I have high expectations for it. I'm hoping it will be much more impressive than BOTT, which while it was a very good record, it's kind of weak compared to ASH and YAYM. Also, a new record means a tour. An Australian tour to be more specific. I'm not 100% sure if I'd even go to their show (lets face it - when do I have money to go to these sorts of things?) but it's great news for other Australian fans!

Let the impatience commence!

So far so good...

Currently I'm listening to Kings of Leon while watching some random rubbish on free-to-air television. I'm really thankful I have Foxtel. I feel sorry for those who don't.
Lately, I've been stressing about University/ENTER scores and whatnot. I've always had a good idea regarding the course I want to do so I thought it'd be a good idea to do a little research. However, it had a negative effect and now I'm even more worried!

RMIT University:
-Bachelor of Communication (Professional Communication)
I need 35 in English (any), however I don't know the ENTER score, so if anyone can let me know, I'd appreciate it!

-Bachelor of Communication (Media)
35 in English (any) with an ENTER scored somewhere in the 90's. In 2005 it was 90.85 & in 2006 it was 91.45.

Monash University:
-Bachelor of Arts (Communication)
I need 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in English (other) with an ENTER score of 72.75.

-Bachelor of Communication
30 in English (ESL) or 25 in English (other) with an ENTER score of 70.05.

LaTrobe University:
-Bachelor of Media Studies
25 in English (any) with an ENTER score of 80.85.

Swinburne:
-Bachelor of Communications
20 in English (any) with an ENTER of 69.95.

-Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications)
20 in English (any) with an ENTER of 76.70.

-Bachelor of Communications (Media Studies)
20 in English (any) with an ENTER score of 69.65

University of Melbourne:
-Bachelor of Media and Communications
ENTER score of 98.25

It's really interesting how much the ENTER scores for the same course can vary. I'm obviously aiming for University of Melbourne, who scare me with their super high ENTER scores. I know I'm aiming very high, but it's always good to aim high right?
