I realised it has been a while since I updated this sweet blog o'mine.
Lets start fresh.
Tomorrow is my 18th. I'm kind of excited, but I'm also not. Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way dreading becoming an 'adult', I'm really glad about that. I'm just sort of 'over it', mainly because I have been anticipating this day for a long time, thus I'm 'over it'. In addition, it doesn't FEEL like it's my birthday tomorrow. Not one bit.
Oh well.
Happy Birthday to me.

2010
HAPPY NEW YEARS!
When I read '2010', one thought instantly springs to mind - do we pronounce '2010' like two thousand and ten or do we say twenty-ten?
Anyway, a new year equals new year resolutions. I usually am (surprisingly) good at keeping my resolutions intact as I tend to not make unrealistic resolutions. Example: I plan to lose 30 kilograms by the end of January.
My resolutions are as follows:

My resolutions are as follows:
- Keep fit, healthy and active.
- Cut out the negative attitude and people in my life.
- Be more positive and happy.
- Stress less; be more calm.
I do have a couple of others, howbeit those four are my main resolutions.

Where have I been?
Appears I have been a little MIA since September.
Nevermind - I'm back and 100% in action!
This blog will be dedicated to the 'One Size Fits All' article, which is featured in the 'size' issue of V magazine.
Basically, the point of this photoshoot was to demonstrate whether or not fashion can be modeled (and still look good) on both a super-slim model and a plus size model.
The models:
Crystal Renn - The Plus-size Model.
Height: 5ft 9
Dress Size: (US) 12 / (AUS) 16
Measurements: 39-32-43
Jacquelyn Jablonski - The Typical Slim Model.
Height: 5ft 9
Dress Size: (US) 2-4 / (AUS) 6-8
Measurements: 32-24-34
Who do you think models the clothes better?
The typical ultra-slim model or a plus-size one?
I believe they both look amazing, however I think the plus-size model gets my vote, mainly because shes gorgeous and I LOVE variety and rule-breaking in fashion. After all, isn't that what fashion is all about? Breaking rules, not conforming, making a change.
After all, it is about time we step away from the waif-thin models and change.

Grand Hyatt and Langham Hotel
On the 23rd of July, we (Food and Technology class) spent the day at the Grand Hyatt and the Langham hotels. We spent the first part of the day touring the Grand Hyatt, which was then followed by a two hour long buffet lunch at the Langham. This was then followed by yet another tour of the hotel.
In my opinion, the Langham Hotel is much better. The staff seemed somewhat more friendly and helpful. This particular update will be a 'more photos that words' kind of blog - also known simply as a 'photoblog'.
Sorry these photographs aren't all the right orientation....
Entrance to the Langham Hotel.
Trinh and I
The chocolate fountain.
You could dip strawberries, rock mellon, marshmellows or mini-muffins in there.
I hate marshmellows, so I dipped one or two strawberries, despite my dislike of chocolate.
Butter, salt and pepper.
Trinh's deserts.
Langham Bathroom.
Trinh's deserts.
More to come...

Michael Jackson's Memorial.
So, as we are all aware, Michael Jackson's memorial was held on the 7th of July (well, actually the 8th of July for Australia). Due to the time difference between countries, I stayed up all night so I could watch it broadcasted live at 3am, EST. All I can say was it was definatly worth it.
The entire memorial was done so respectfully and nice, yet I started crying as soon as I saw the hearse transporting the coffin to the Staples Centre (yes - even before the memorial actually started). It was so moving and emotional, the entire memorial was amazing. I'm not kidding when I say I cried so much throughout the entire event. When I saw Michael's coffin, it immediatly made me realise that he was gone. Forever.
However, I think like most people, one of the most powerful parts of the memorial was Michael's daughter, Paris, giving a brief yet emotional speech.
This came to a surprise to myself and probably many others as I never imagined that I'd see Michael's children onstage, let alone one of them giving a speech. Paris' emotional words though made Michael seem equal to us and a very normal being. He wasn't just an icon who had many fans or an entertainer who sold millions of records. Michael, like many others, was simple a father. A father who adored and cared for his children. Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II didn't lose The King of Pop nor did they lose an icon. They lost their father who raised and shaped them into the individuals they are today.

Run Of Bad Luck = Understatement?
I'm totally and utterly convinced that I've had the worst holidays and they are not even over yet. Firstly, the wonderful and talented (not to mention, my favorite singer) Michael Jackson dies. Now, my adorable pet rabbit has cancer and only has months to live, which I found out today.
For the past few weeks, my rabbit Miffy had a sore on her eye. However, it looked like just a speck of dirt, thus we were lead to assume it was bark from her digging in the backyard. Anyway, it got really bad and looked swollen and sore, so we booked her in for a Vet appointment at 4pm, after my day with Deb.
The good news first - Miffy, whom is 8 years old, is actually a male! When we bought her, we were told she was a female (hence the name) but she does very 'man' things (humping my dogs leg!) so we doubted that, obviously. He's also lived quite awhile for a rabbit.
The bad news - the 'lump/sore' is cancer. The cancer is actually eating away at his bottom eyelid, soon possibly spreading (which hasn;t occured yet). I don't know where it'd spread to, but I know deep down that it'll spread quickly because in the past few weeks, it's increased. Miffy can't be treated and if he survives until summer, will have to be put down due to the cancer attracting flies, which will cause them to lay eggs, creating a maggot infested mess.
When told the news, I got teary at the Vet and cried as soon as I got home.
I'm so worried.
This blog is totally incoherant.
Exuse it.
